As direct importers from Japan’s largest supplier, we offer a diverse range of meticulously restored upright and grand pianos, including special editions. Every piano is expertly refurbished with top-quality components like hammerheads and strings sourced directly from Japan, ensuring outstanding performance and durability.
Our showroom features over 250 high-quality refurbished acoustic pianos from renowned brands like Kawai and Yamaha, as well as new pianos, digital pianos, keyboards, and other instruments.

Our Story
Mr. Lim Chin Chow
Mdm. Tan Siew Lian
Our story began in 1974 when Mr. Lim Chin Chow and Mdm. Tan Siew Lian founded Hong Hok Pianos in Beach Road, Singapore. Specializing in new and refurbished pianos, Mr. Lim refined his skills in piano refurbishment and tuning under renowned experts from Japan, China, and Singapore.

In 1977, the business expanded to Malaysia, making music more accessible with affordable used pianos. This growth led to the establishment of John Piano Sdn. Bhd., with branches in Sungei Wang Plaza, Bukit Bintang, and Jinjang, becoming a trusted name among music schools and individuals.
In 1984, the second generation, led by Ms. Joyce Lim and her husband Mr. Kang Kim Heng, took the helm. Joyce’s deep passion for music and piano expertise, combined with Mr. Kang’s technical skills honed under Mr. Lim’s mentorship, fueled the company’s expansion. They began importing pianos from Japan, Germany, and the UK, while establishing Melodic Music Centre to inspire and nurture the next generation of musicians.

A professional pianist with a Bachelor of Classical Music (Hons.) in Piano Performance from UCSI University, she currently manages the music school and business operations

Honoring the family tradition, Clifford is mastering the art of piano tuning and technician skills passed down through generations

An internationally acclaimed Autistic-Savant pianist with a Licentiate from the London College of Music (LLCM), Clarence is our demo pianist, showcasing the full potential of our pianos through captivating performances
